Iris Lorraine (Moffatt) Pummill

Iris Pummill passed away on April 14, 2018 at the age of 81.  She was born on September 12, 1936 in Stanton Michigan to Harvey and Irene Moffatt.  Iris was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Donald Pummill, her parents and her two brothers Wayne Moffatt and Larry Moffatt.  Iris is survived by her five children, Donald (Julie Pummill), David (Gina) Pummill, Dennis (Stacey) Pummill, Terri Pummill and Rusty Pummill, 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. 

Iris moved to Grand Rapids from Stanton Michigan upon graduating from high school.  She became a clothing model for Blanche LeBaron at her store in downtown Grand Rapids.  Iris soon met her husband and spent her married life devoted to providing a beautiful home for her family.  She was a very creative person, a prolific painter as well as an accomplished interior decorator.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday April 18, 2018 at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home at 4291 Cascade Rd, Grand Rapids, MI 49546 from 4pm – 7pm.  She will be interred at Cascade Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, it was Iris’s wish that anyone wishing to celebrate her life and her love of animals consider a donation to the Humane Society of West Michigan.
