Lindberg “Mac” Stanford, age 89, of Venezuela passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 16th 2017 at Saint Mary's Hospital in Grand Rapids MI. Mr. Stanford was born in Barbados on January 27th 1928, the son of John F. & Ivy C. (Fenty) Stanford. Preceded in death by his wife of 43 years Migdelia Stanford (Rodriguez) who passed away on June 21st 1999, parents John & Ivy Stanford of Barbados, brothers Clyde Stanford of Barbados and Duncan Stanford of Florida. Surviving are five children: John & Evelyn Stanford of Santiago Chile, Diana (Stanford) & Walid Nasrallah of Grand Rapids,MI, Charles & Laurie Stanford of Oviedo, Florida, Patricia Stanford of Venezuela and Sonya (Stanford) & Adolfo Orta of Venezuela; 9 grandchildren: Andrea, Priscilla, Karen, Gloria, Audry, Emily, Alex, Allison and Alicia. One brother, Noel Stanford of Canada and one sister Margaret (Stanford) Edwards of Barbados. Many nieces and nephew, sisters in laws and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday at 4pm at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Chapel. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service from 3 to 4pm at the funeral home.
