Bill Kruse

Harold W. “Bill” Kruse age 97, of Grand Rapids, passed away on December 23, 2017 with his family by his side.  Bill is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Evelyn, son Jeffrey W. Kruse of Columbia, SC, daughter Lynne M. Kruse of Kalamazoo, MI, granddaughter Noelle Kruse of New York, NY and his sister Donna Scott of Wadsworth, OH.

Bill proudly served his country as a Army Artillery Captain during WWII.  Graduated from Purdue University and then went on to work for General Motors from 1949 to 1985 and became plant manager during that time.  He loved serving and volunteering in many areas of his church, Meals on Wheels and Kids Food Basket.  Bill loved spending time outdoors, golfing, snow skiing, tennis, landscaping and gardening in his lawn and was an active member at Cascade Country Club.

A Memorial Service will be held 11am on January 13th at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church 7495 Cascade Rd SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at church from 10 to 11am.   In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Bill Kruse Memorial Fund at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church.
