Cheryl Ann Edge

Cheryl passed away after struggling with severe dementia on Tuesday, March 13, 2018.  Cheryl was preceded in death by her birth parents, Howard and Jessie Mae Edge, her foster father, William J. Bos, Sr. and foster sister, Victoria Pottorff.  She is survived by her sisters, Deborah (Jerry) Mercer, Lauri Edge, her foster mother, Dorothy Bos, foster brother, Bill Bos, Jr., Don and Jan Porrorf, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Cheryl was born in Grand Rapids and graduated from Forest Hills Central in 1976.  She worked most of her life at William Bos Farm & Greenhouses.  Her favorite hobbies were reading, gardening and taking care of animals.  She was a very quiet and caring person, hard worker, one who helped those in need as much as she was able to.  Cheryl will be deeply missed. 

Visitation with the family will be held Saturday March 24th at 10:00 A.M. at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 4291 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.  A memorial service will be held in her honor at 11:00 A.M. following visitation.  Private burial will be at Graceland Memorial Park & Mausoleum. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Humane Society of West Michigan.  Envelopes will be provided at the funeral home.
