David D. Martin

David D. Martin born December 1, 1944 passed away February 15, 2018 from a massive stroke surrounded by his family at home. He was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Margaret Martin, brothers George and Thomas, and sister Judy. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Susan, sons Jason, Tim, Rusty, and Ben (Jodi), seven grandchildren, who were his life and gave him great pride and happiness, Brittany, Jake, Henry, Zoe, Veronica, Zak, and Luke. Also survived by sisters Katie O’Dowd and Anne Goodwin, sisters in laws, brother in law, and many nieces and nephews.

Dave was an avid golfer as a member of Watermark Country Club for 36 years, president of Thornapple Lions Club, Knights of Columbus member, and involved parishioner at St. Robert of Newminster for 42 years.

Family will meet friends at Metcalf and Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Sunday, February 18 from 4-7pm.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Robert of Newminister Catholic Church, 6477 Ada Dr., 11am Monday, February 19. Donations may be made to St. Robert of Newminster, Haiti Fund.
