Lawrence Kaleefey

After battling for several years with cancer and other physical problems, God called Larry Kaleefey (79) home on September 22, 2016.  Larry was preceded in death by his immediate family: Edward (father) & Florence Fadwa (mother) Kaleefey, Joseph (brother) and his sisters Josephine (Sickery) and Clara Kaleefey.  He is survived by Judy (wife), Christopher (son), Nicholas (son, his wife and special caregiver to Larry – Joy), Edward (nephew) and Pamela (niece) Kaleefey, David and John Sickery (nephews), Denise (Sickery) Vorgias (niece, and her husband David); special in his heart – Nathaniel (great nephew, and family) Kaleefey and Corey Hawkins (step great grandson).  There was also an amazing number of friends and business acquaintances from his decades of service to AmerisourceBergen.  Everyone who knew Larry found him to be spontaneously generous, invitingly gregarious, lavishly hospitable, methodically meticulous, uncompromisingly ambitious, fiercely competitive and unconditionally loyal.  He will be missed for his humor, consistency, attire, cleanliness, organization and his unwavering devotion to family, work, sports, church and community.  Larry now resides with God in Heaven for eternity.  If you desire, you can see again by Faith in Jesus (John 3:16).  Visitation will be held Monday from 4-7pm at St. Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, 2250 E. Paris Ave. S.E., Grand Rapids, MI 49546.  A prayer service will be held 7pm Monday at church.  The funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday September 27, 2016 at church with visitation beginning at 10am.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Antiohian Orthodox Church.
