Mary Lee was a wonderful lifelong friend to my mom Cassie, and she supported Cassie in a marvelous way, when they lived together at Porter Hills. Recently, I asked Mary Lee out on a date, to hear John Shea play at the Republic. She turned me down.

I just wasn't cute enough, I suppose, for a date. Mary Lee was extremely cute, though. And nice, and loyal, and smart, and fun. Love to everybody.
