We were so sorry to learn of Merlyn and Gordon's passing. They were wonderful people and will surely be missed by their family, friends and community.

Barbara and I purchased Gordon and Merlyn's first home in South Haven in 1999. Since then we have been their neighbors---actually more than neighbors. From the outset, Gordon and Merlyn treated us like family---Gordon with his avuncular advice and Merlyn with her delicious pies. They have been as much of South Haven to us as the sun, the sand or the lake---and we will miss them sorely. We wish to convey our condolences to the extended Duisterhof family and invite them to walk up our driveway anytime for a trip down memory lane. To the right is the house that Gordon designed and built. Like Gordon, unconventional but charming. And to the left is Merlyn's garden. Like her, beautiful and continuously in bloom.

Very saddened to read online this am your Mom's obit. Even more so of your dad joining her. Now they are together with Our Lord .a beautiful testimony to all.
