Mildred E. Strom

Mildred Edwards Strom, age 94 passed away Sunday April 24, 2016.  She is survived by her children Martha (Richard) Tillstrom, Helen (Mark) Post, Richard (Irene) Strom; daughter-in-law Linda Strom; grandchildren Matthew (Jennifer) Tillstrom, Kate (Stuart) Millholland, Eric (Nadia) Strom, Sarah Strom, Lindsey (John) Robinson, Andrew (Meg) Post, Matthew Post, Rachel Strom (fiancé Andrew Kammer); 10 great grandchildren, one great grandson on the way and sister Viola Lewis.  Millie was preceded in death by her husband Edward Jr., son Edward III and sister Helen Edwards.  Millie was born in Virginia but raised her family in Michigan.  She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for over 70 years.  She enjoyed working in retail for Wurzburgs & Jacobson’s, was an avid gardener and reader and loved spending time with her family.  She was a true southern lady and will be greatly missed.  A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M. Friday April 29, 2016 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1100 Lake Dr. S.E., Grand Rapids, MI 49506 with visitation to follow after the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church.
