Patricia Vor Broker Sprich

Patricia Vor Broker Sprich, age 54, of Grand Rapids. Our Patty died on Friday, July 31, 2015 at Butterworth Hospital with her husband, Tom, and daughter, Claire by her side. Patty was the most wonderful wife, daughter and mother. Words cannot describe her caring heart for family and friends. She was the light of our lives. Patty had just battled and won an 18 month fight with Leukemia. All of us thought she was on her way to the best years of her life before she passed away suddenly. Patty is survived by her husband of over 31 years, Tom; her daughter, Claire (Behram) Berkel; her son, Bryan; her mother, Jean Vor Broker; her sister, Barb (Tom) Chandler; brothers, Bob (Sue Ann) and Bruce; several nieces and nephews and her brother-in-law, Blair Laackman. She was preceded in death by her father, Stuart Vor Broker and by her sister, Bonnie Laackman. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Metcalf and Jonkhoff Funeral Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church with Rev. Msgr. Ernest P. Schneider officiating. For those who wish memorials may be made to the Lemmen-Holton Cancer Pavilion.
