Robert Howes Brady

Robert “Bob” Brady passed away peacefully September 6, 2017 following a brief illness.  Bob is survived by his loving wife of 59 years Dorothy, daughters Carolyn Brady of Cascade and Linda (Keith) Combs of Grand Rapids, grandchildren Cameron, Lauren, Eric and Heather.  Bob graduated from Miami University with his Bachelor’s degree and then served 2 years in the US Navy as an Officer.  Following his stint in the Navy Bob returned to Miami University to obtain his Master’s degree in business.  Bob and Dorothy spent most of their married life in Cleveland, Ohio before moving to Grand Rapids to be closer to their children and grandchildren.  Bob loved spending time at their cottage on Devils Lake enjoying family and friends and playing the bagpipes.  Visitation and Funeral service will be held Saturday September 9, at Westminster Presbyterian Church 47 Jefferson Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503, with visitation from 11:30 – 1:30 and funeral service 1:30 at the church.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Guillain-Barre, GBS/CIDP Foundation International 375 East Elm St., Suite 101, Conshohocken, PA 19428 or Gilda’s Club 1806 Bridge St., NW Grand Rapids, MI 49504 or a charity of your choice.
