Ruth L. (Schuhman) Zuiderhoek

Ruth L. Zuiderhoek, age 94, a life-long resident of Grand Rapids passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2015 at Pilgrim Manor. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Clay Zuiderhoek, in 2005. Although they had no children of their own, her life was devoted for 32 years to the children she taught in the Grand Rapids Schools.  Many of the children she taught were second generation students whose parents she taught wanted her to be their teacher as well.  She is survived by many nephews and nieces. A private family graveside service was held at Graceland Memorial Park.
