Sarah D. Hall

Adored daughter, cherished sister, and loving aunt, Sarah Diane Hall, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 15, 2017, in California.  Sarah was born in Gainesville, FL, on February 15, 1969.  Sarah was graduated from East Grand Rapids High School in 1987 and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University.     

She is survived by her parents, Robert and Diane Hall, her sisters Allison (Mark) White and Melissa (Joseph Locke) Hall, her nephews, Grant and Mitchell White, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.   

Sarah had a kind and generous heart and lived her life helping others.  She naturally made others feel loved and valued.  For her, it was the little things that...mattered most: a good book, a hike, a sunset on the beach, and quality time spent with friends and family.  She had a deep love for animals and rescued many pets over the years.  She loved being outdoors in nature and through her travels was able to experience that joy over the years.    

A private family service and burial will take place.  Friends and family are invited to a celebration of her life on Thursday, Nov. 2, at Kent Country Club from 2-5 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mayflower Congregational Church, 2345 Robinson Road SE, Grand Rapids, MI, 49506.
