Welcome to the memorial page for

Warren Moody

April 15, 1939 ~ December 9, 2016 (age 77) 77 Years Old

Warren Moody passed into the Kingdom of Heaven on December 9, 2016 leaving behind the pain and suffering he had endured here on earth.  He got his wish and was able to be with his loving wife at home when he passed away.

He was born April 15, 1939 to the late David L. Moody and Florence Taff Moody in Tallahassee, Florida.  He was also preceded in death by his brother Wayne Moody, sister Marcia Moody Roberts and daughter in law Debra Moody.

He is survived by his devoted wife Janice Houser Moody.  They met at Florida State University and were married 51 years.  Warren also left five children to mourn his passing.  From Sarasota, FL his daughters Melinda Yarling and Lee Anne Hansard.  From Grand Rapids, sons David Warren Moody Jr. and William Lee Moody and from Houston, TX daughter Jennifer (Ray) Moody Green.  Warren loved and adored his 13 grandchildren, Sara Driscoll, Ben Yarling, Sage Hansard, David W. Moody III, Alexa Hansard, Natalie Moody Doyle, Cameron Moody, Anna Moody, Sydney Green, Renatta Green, Andy Kleeves, Samantha Moody and Hunter Moody.  He also will dearly miss three great grandchildren Isabella Dykema, Declan Doyle and Caroline Doyle.

Warren owned Telephone Message Center from 1966 until he retired.  The business included an answering service and eventually the introduction of pagers, car phones and cell phones.  He served his association of answering services as state president and national president.  Before Warren’s eye sight diminished he was an avid reader and was also a 40 year member of Cascade Hills Country Club.  Weather permitting you could find Warren playing golf with his buddies.  A few games of gin a week was also on the schedule.  He also enjoyed spending the last 15 winters with his wife Janice in South Florida.  He will be greatly missed.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M.
