JoAnn Midlick Robb, age 64, of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 14, 2020. JoAnn was born in Riverview, MI on January 4, 1956 the only child of Joseph and Margaret (Rosnick) Midlick. She received a Bachelor's degree in Education from Michigan State University in 1978. Through tutoring and non-traditional programs, she spent her career providing literacy education to underprivileged children and adults. She is survived by two daughters, Julie (Robb) Stanard and Laura Robb; one grandson, Nathan Stanard; many loving cousins; and her former spouse, Ronald Robb. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Margaret (Rosnick) Midlick. JoAnn knew Jesus as her Savior as a lifelong Lutheran. She lived her life following the teachings of the Lord, and raised her children by demonstrating the importance of kindness, tolerance, and compassion. She was fond of crafts, particularly stained glass projects and coloring books. JoAnn is also known among many to be inexplicably loved by any and all animals she met. Some of her favorite memories were from high school band practice and loud rock concerts. She will be missed by many family members and friends who have always known her for her fun, bright spirit. JoAnn’s body will be cremated, and the family plans to have a celebration of her life at a later date.
