Linda E. McRoy

Linda McRoy passed away on Monday September 13, 2021 at the age of 74.  She was born on October 16, 1946 in Saginaw, MI to the late Fred and Marjorie Welsh.  She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years Timothy McRoy, sons Ryan (Martha) McRoy, Andrew McRoy, Mitchell (Brooke) McRoy, grandchildren Ethan, Audrey, Jacob, Grayson and Finley, brother Frederick (Susan) Welsh, sister Laura (Gary) Watts, several nieces and nephews and her beloved grand dogs. 

Linda spent her career as a teacher for 36 years with Fruitport and Godwin Heights Schools and also was a realtor for over 17 years.  She loved God, was a porcelain artist, enjoyed music, travelling, gardening, and all animals, especially her dogs.  Of all things she loved, her family was her greatest joy.  She will be greatly missed. 

The family will greet relatives and friends for a visitation on Thursday from 5-8pm at the Metcalf and Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 4291 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.  The funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday September 17th at New Ground Church, 5455 84th St., Caledonia, MI 49316 with burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery.  Following the burial, everyone is invited back to the church for a luncheon.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Ground Church.
