Nancy L. Barrows

Barrows, Nancy L. passed away February, 22, 2020 in Grand Rapids MI at the age of 84.  Nancy was born in Grand Rapids to Ed and Ruth Lawyer July 31, 1935.  She attended East Grand Rapids schools from kindergarten to graduation in 1953.  Following Highschool she attended Beloit College and transferred to Western Michigan University graduating in 1957 with her bachelor degree.  Nancy was active at Eastminster Presbyterian Church serving as Deacon, Stephen Minister, Women’s Association and choir. She was a Girl Scout leader and member of PEO.  She was a member of Blodgett Hospital Stekette Guild and volunteered at the Window shop for 40 years. They enjoyed camping with a pop-up camper, the cabin on the Pere Marquette River and cottage on Gifford Lake.

Surviving are, husband John, children, Larry (Deb) Barrows, Nikiski Alaska, Mary Beth (David)  Johnston Forsyth, Georgia and Kathy (Paul Delibertis) Titchenal, Salem, Oregon.   Nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. 

Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 29, 2020, 11:00 am, with visitation one hour prior to service time at Forest Hills Presbyterian Church 7495 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
