Shirley Ann Locklin

Shirley passed away at the age of 89 due to complications from a stroke.  She is survived by her daughter Cindy Locklin (Denise), her sons Charles Locklin (Sheryl), Ron Locklin, grandchildren Matthew (Morgan), Melissa (Ben), Jessica, Becky, Naomi, Zach, McKinzie, Felicia and Keyla, 7 great grandchildren sisters Virginia Elson, Barbara Ulberg, Phyllis Huistra, Vivian Vos and brother James (Ellen) VanDyke . She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Boyd, sister in law Eloise (Ken) Hoyt, parents Margaret and Peter VanDyke, nephews and dear friends.

Shirley lived life to the fullest. She was President of the Bobby Vinton Fan Club, sometimes attending 50 concerts a year. She loved camping, gambling, Las Vegas and Yahtzee, spending time with family and was involved with her church, Saint Mark Lutheran Church.

The family will greet relatives and friends for a visitation on Sunday from 2-5pm at the Metcalf and Jonkhoff Funeral Home and again one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.  The funeral service will be held at 11am on Monday September 20, 2021 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1934 52nd St. SE, Kentwood, MI 49508.  Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery.  For those who wish to donate in Shirley’s memory may consider The Salvation Army, Faith Hospice or St. Mark Lutheran Church.
