Bea (Beatrice Lucille Souder) Dinger of Grandville has gone to be with her maker on Thursday, November 1st, 2018 after a long battle with Congestive Heart and Kidney Failure. Bea was originally from Indianapolis. She was the President of the Molly Booth Guild and the Coordinator for the Butterworth Follies. She worked for a number of years with Fruit Basket Flower Land and was a Realtor with Pearson Cook all here in Grand Rapids. Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Bud (Robert L.) Dinger of Herpolsheimer’s and Roger’s Department Stores, her grandson Justin T. Gillett and great grandson Leland T. Gillett.
Bea Dinger is survived by her three children, Thomas G. (Karen S. Laisure), Stephen F. (Barbara) and Kathleen E. Denzel (Ronald); her Grandchildren, Cynthia K. Wallace, Jeffrey M. and Benjamin J. Dinger, Stephen A. (Andy) Dinger and Laura M. Ford (Shawn), Sheila A. Gillett, Jason R. Gillett, Steven Denzel, Kevin Denzel, Chayasura Walker and Dwayne Walker plus a raft of Great Grandchildren; Savannah Wallace, Kellen Ford, Annika Ford, Kenzie Gillett, Flynn Gillett, Logan Curry, Karlee Curry & Josie Curry, Stevie and Zachary Denzel, Rozalyn, Chandler Denzel and Xavier Walker all of whom referred to Bea as “Grandma Great”!
First and foremost, Bea was a loving Wife for over 56 years supporting the family’s activities like boating, water and snow skiing and antique car collecting and touring in addition to her own interests. Bea will be greatly missed by all her friends but particularly by Verna Boots her childhood friend from Indianapolis and Nancy Haverkamp of Grandville.
Funeral Services will be held at Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home on Tuesday November 6th, at Noon with visitation from 10 am to 12 pm and a reception following the funeral service. Internment will take place at Graceland Memorial Park. Contributions in Bea’s name to Faith Hospice would be appreciated. Blessings to you all.
