Gracia L. Blanchard

Gracia Lou Blanchard passed away unexpectedly Thursday July 25th at the age of 72.  She was born in Grand Rapids to the late Wells and Virginia Blanchard. 

Gracia graduated from East Grand Rapids High School and attended Western Michigan University where she received her Master’s Degree.  For 31 years she taught in the Forest Hills School District.

She loved the outdoors and gardening.  Her house in East Grand Rapids was very special to her, and loved decorating it for her favorite holiday, Christmas.  She will be lovingly remembered by her fiancé Ken Jager. 

The funeral service will be at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday August 1, 2019 at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held Wednesday July 31st from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park.
