John "Jack" W. Hagenbush

John W. Hagenbush age 93, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2019 surrounded by his family.  “Jack” was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Jeanne.  He is survived by his daughter, Sue Ann (Mark) Kinsler; son, John (Lynn) Hagenbush; and grandchildren, Jill Hagenbush, Sarah (Dan) Noe, Alison (Matt) Rohloff, and Catherine Hagenbush.  Jack lived to meet his two great grandsons and loved spending time with his family, friends and neighbors.  Jack was born in Detroit and served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during WWII.  Jack relocated to Grand Rapids with his family in 1966.  He had over a 40 year career as a mortgage banker.  Jack was a member of Cascade Hills Country Club for over 50 years where he enjoyed playing golf and cards with his many friends.  The family would like to thank the staff of Porter Hills and Emmanuel Hospice for their loving care during his final years.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday September 10 at 3pm at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home.  The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 2 to 3pm.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to Porter Hills Benevolent Fund, Emmanuel Hospice or Hospice of Michigan.
