Debonair with European charm, Kurt E. Wirth (an avid Porsche aficionado most of his life) was raised and educated in Hamburg, Germany, before becoming and American Citizen in 1995 after returning to the U.S.
Most of his business career was with S.C. Johnson, a family company of Racine, Wisconsin, where he served in the International Division, and as general manager of Austria before returning to the U.S. as Regional Manager of Personal Care before his retirement in 1992.
A Porsche Club of America member since 1979, he remained in the Western Michigan Porsche Club having served as President, Grattan Driving Event Chair, and most recently as historical and insurance coordinator.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Jean Wirth, and one sister (of Germany) Monica Kreitz; two adopted sons, Geoffrey Towner Wirth, Alexander Reed Wirth-Cauchon, PhD. and his wife Janet, PhD.; one daughter, Stephanie Alexandra Wirth and her husband, Mark Rasmussen, Esq.; two exceptional granddaughters; two budding teenage grandsons and lastly three adorable great-grandchildren.
Kurt was preceded in death by his parents Ernst and Hertha Wirth of Hamburg, Germany.
