Mary Beth VanderBroek

Mary Beth VanderBroek, 62, passed into the arms of Jesus on August 24, 2017.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Betty VanderBroek.  She is survived by her brother, Steve; sister-in-law, Marie; and niece, Anne VanderBroek.

Mary loved and nurtured more than 30 children throughout her life.  She taught them to read and love books, bake, play games, and create crafts.  She loved Disney and all its characters, the Detroit Tigers, and the University of Michigan. 

Mary loved to bake and made wonderful cookies.  She created many cross-stitch ornaments, pictures, and items of clothing for those she loved.  She also knitted many prayer shawls and other items that were given to those in need.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held at Central Reformed Church, 10 College Ave. NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503 in the chapel on Saturday, September 9th at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Central Reformed Church in her memory.
