This photo of Bob is exactly how we remember him - with a smile lighting up his face and reflecting his fun-loving spirit. Dorothy, you and Bob were always part of the happy times we spent at the ocean, esp. Sunset Beach. We'll always remember Bob's playful ways and sense of humor. We remember his habit of fingering a glass or pencil he was holding as if it were a bagpipe chanter, his love of scallops at Twin Lakes, of cookies and ice cream, and his pride in being an SAE. "Phi Alpha, Bob!" You will be missed.

I'll never forget Bob, and all the beach vacations our families shared together over the past 50 years or so. Those were some of the best times of my life. We also shared a love for bagpiping, and I remember how Bob's fingers would continue to play bagpipe songs on an imaginary chanter for years after he stopped playing the actual instrument, a trait we had in common since I still do the same thing. Bob could be very passionate in his conversations, but he always had a sense of humor and didn't have a mean bone in his body. If everyone was as good natured as Bob, the world would be a better place. I'll miss him. Dorothy, Carolyn and Linda, I think of you often and wish you the best during this difficult time. I send my love to all of you.

Dorothy, we are so sorry for the loss of your wonderful husband. Our times with you and Bob were few and far between but his smile and witty, pleasant manner will always be with us. Please know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

Words can't express my feelings for your loss. Dad and Bob came into this world at virtually the same time and they went out together too. My thoughts yesterday were of mom, dad, and Bob playing dominoes together again. We love you and send hugs!
