Trudy Pasko

Trudy Pasko resident of Cascade Township passed away on Tuesday, March 27, 2018.  Trudy was born in Bremen, Germany.  After immigrating to the United States she made Grand Rapids, MI her home.   Trudy was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother.   She and her husband, John shared a passion for boating and spent most summer weekends on their boat in Grand Haven, MI.  She also enjoyed tennis and spending time with her friends and family.  

Trudy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 31 years John Pasko, her parents, Walter and Irma Osmers, and her brother Audi Osmers.   Trudy is survived by her daughter, Dawn (Dave) Wallin and granddaughter, Alexandra of Lake Orion, MI; son, David Kolkman and grandsons, Dawson and Brayden of Palmetto, FL.  She is also survived by her stepchildren, Kandis (Rick) Chadwick of Colorado Springs, CO; Laura (Norman) Hayward and granddaughter Taylor of Colorado Springs, CO; Scott Pasko of Fort Collins, CO; Stacy (Jeff) Williamson and granddaughters Lauren and Nicole of Fort Collins, CO; sisters Irma Beerman of Indiana , Monika Schmidt, Ute Pufal both of Germany; and the father of her children and loving friend Don Kolkman.

A service celebrating her life will take place on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation  beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Metcalf and Jonkhoff, 4291 Cascade Road SE, Grand Rapids, MI  49546.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Alzheimer’s Association Greater Michigan Chapter at www.alz.org/gmc or Fisher Center for Alzheimer’s Research Foundation at www.alzinfo.org.
