Alanna Hart-VanTil

Alanna Christine Hart-VanTil, age 44, of Grand Rapids left us on Monday, June 21, 2021 at her home.  Alanna was born in Wichita, Kansas on February 28, 1977 the daughter of Jack and Ulrike (Carpenter) Hart. She graduated from Forest Hills Central High School class of 1995.   Alanna was a devoted mother, passionate friend, and poured empathy, warmth, and love into everyone who was lucky enough to cross her path.

Alanna is survived by her mother, Ulrike (Carpenter) Hart, her brother Corey Hart, her niece Cecelia Clare Hart-Freas, and her children Eva and Beckett VanTil and extended family in Austria, Arkansas, and Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her father Jack Hart.

Family, friends, and loved ones will receive celebrants at the Metcalf and Jonkhoff Funeral Chapel from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 8 for a memorial service. A reception will follow.  For those who wish memorials may be made to www.jdrf.org to support the cure of Type 1 Diabetes.
