Amy S. Partee

Amy Partee, cherished wife of Timothy and beloved daughter of James and Susan Boyse, died peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at the age of 59. She was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Boyse, and her brother, David Boyse, her father-in-law, James Partee, and her brother-in-law, Michael Partee. Amy is also survived by her sister-in-law and her husband, Beth (Partee) and Court Kelley of Owosso, niece Caitlin Teichman and husband Tyler, children Archie and Sadie, nephew Ryan Kelley and wife Mackenzie, and her beloved dog Trixie.

After graduation from Michigan State University. Amy spent some time in the child development field. After a time, she decided she wanted a secretarial degree from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI, where she then worked for AOS for a few years. In 1998 she accepted a support staff position in the Psychology Department at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital where she worked for 25 years before retiring in 2023.

In 2000, she married the love of her life, Tim Partee, and since that time the couple enjoyed summers in Clare, Michigan, at a rental cottage where she previously spent summers with her family while growing up. Amy and Tim enjoyed many trips to various spots in Mexico. She was always happy and really relaxed in those settings. She also REALLY enjoyed traveling around the country with her best friend Carrie Pappas to Sammy Hagar concerts to which her husband was grateful to not have to go.

Amy's funeral will take place on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Christ Lutheran Church, 2350 44th St SW, Wyoming, MI 49519. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, with the funeral and communion following, Pastor Rob Schmidt officiating. Interment will take place at a later time in Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery, Grand Rapids.
