Andrea Baier-Petiet

Andrea Baier Petiet, age 75, of Cascade, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 7th, 2024. Andrea was born in Queens, New York on November 19th, 1948 to Matthews and Mary Baier (Boccio).

Andrea was creative and loved to express herself through her artwork. Anyone who had the pleasuring of knowing and loving her, knew that she was the most deeply caring and thoughtful person. Especially to her family, whom she was so very proud of. Her passion was art therapy which she used with her clients to assist them in expressing their feelings. She was always looking for new ways to help her clients express themselves. Art was one of those ways which she was also deeply connected to.

Andrea is preceded in death by both of her parents. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Jack Petiet; two sons, Gabe and Isaac Petiet; sister, Catherine (Mike) Baier-Hutchinson and brothers Matthews (Emily) Baier Jr., and Christopher. 

Visitation will be held at Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral home on February 2, 2024 from 6:00-8:00 pm. 

A visitation and memorial service will be held at Fountain Street Church on February 3, 2024. Visitation from 10:00-11:00 am with service to follow. Luncheon will be provided after the service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Planned Parenthood, Kids Food Basket or Gilda’s Club in Andrea’s honor.
