Barbara A. Clark

Barbara A. Clark passed away Monday November 19, 2018 at the age of 93.  She was born on April 6, 1925 in Grand Rapids to the late Lee and Clara Averill.  She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 70 years Robert G. Clark, daughter Kathryn Blackwell, son John R. (Jennifer Horne) Clark, granddaughter Brooke (Robert) Brown, great grandchildren Alexis and Michael Brown and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her brother Donald Averill and sisters Dorothy Eardley and Ruth Breithaupt.  Barbara was a member of Cascade Hills Country Club for 45 years, where she was a past president of the Women’s Golf Association.  She also was a longtime member of Fountain Street Church where she served on the Schweitzer Guild and was on the Bissell Guild with Blodgett Hospital.  Barbara enjoyed playing golf, tennis, bridge and spending time with her family.  She will be greatly missed.  Visitation will be held Sunday November 25th at the Metcalf and Jonkhoff Funeral Home from 3-5pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to D.A. Blodgett-St. Johns or Fountain Street Church.
