Barbara Ann DeVrou

Barbara Ann DeVrou went to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at the age of 84.  Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Russel in 1996.  She is survived by her son David Scott (Lucinda) DeVrou, daughter Kimberly Anne (Daniel) Hensley, grandson David Cary (Kelly) DeVrou, grandson Garrit (Rachel) Hensley, granddaughter Katie (Josh) Ankersen, great grandchildren Ada Elizabeth and Sylvia Anne DeVrou, and Athena Grace Ankersen.

Barbara graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in education from Calvin College. She went on to teach 5th grade at Cummings Elementary in the Grandville school district.  Barbara was a member of the Women’s City Club of Grand Rapids for many years.  Funeral service will be held on Saturday January 15, 2022 at noon with visitation one hour prior to service at Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 4291 Cascade Rd. SE Grand Rapids.  Private Family interment service will follow.  For those who which, memorial contributions can be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, JDRF.org
