Barbara A. (Schumacher) Richardson

Barbara Anne Richardson (née Schumacher) passed away peacefully on October 18, 2023.

She was born in Lansing, MI, on June 28, 1932. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Richardson and her sister, Sally Schumacher Martin.

She is survived by her daughters, Kathryn S. Gallanis (Peter), Sarah S. Massie (Sam), and Laura S. Kingston, grandchildren, Ben Massie (Jessica), Spencer Massie, D. Clark Kingston, William S. Kingston, and 5 great grandchildren.

Barbara attended Ward-Belmont Preparatory School in Nashville, TN, Michigan State University and graduated from Aquinas College. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority, The Junior League of Grand Rapids, Hodgen Guild of Blodgett-Spectrum Hospital, Grace Church Guild and Kent Country Club.

A private service of interment will be held. Memorials may be sent to Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park.
