Beverly Jane Ferwerda (Geisinger) also known as “Fix it Grandma”, age 94, of Grand Rapids, was received into the loving arms of Jesus on August 7, 2021, in her home surrounded by her family.

She taught Sunday School at Faith Lutheran Church for a few years. Beverly enjoyed traveling across the country with their family. Beverly was a devoted wife, mother and sister. She worked as a lunch lady at Martin School and later retired from Foremost Insurance in 1990.
Beverly enjoyed working in her garden growing flowers and vegetables. She enjoyed being a seamstress making clothes and costumes, darning socks, and sewing on buttons. She loved cooking healthy meals for her family and using her imagination making crafts with her grandchildren. Beverly enjoyed reading novel books, her daily devotions and history books. She also enjoyed playing yard sports with her great-grandsons and later going to all her great grandkids football, basketball, and soccer games.

In her last month she spent time with her family, having a water fight with great great grandchildren. She watched the birds out her window, danced to her music, and enjoyed the company of her family, her cat, neighbors, and many friends, such as Patty, Mike Clark, and Carl.
