Bryce Siler

Bryce James Siler, age 42, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 31, 2025. He was preceded in death by his father, Steven Siler; his maternal grandparents, Richard and Alice Platt; his paternal grandparents, James and Bennie Mae Siler; his uncle and aunt, Roger and Jan Brown; and his cousin, Robbie Brown.

He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Susan Siler; his sister and brother-in-law, Jenny and William Pilger; fiancée, Holly Sund and her son, Dayton; nieces and nephews, Wiley, Avery, and Charley; his uncle and aunt, Bob and Sandy Platt; his loyal dog, Izzy-Mae; and many cousins.

Bryce was born on April 14, 1983, in East Grand Rapids. He earned his Associate’s Degree from Universal Technical Institute (UTI) in Houston, Texas. Bryce was a lifelong sports fan and a passionate supporter of the University of Michigan. He enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, including watching college sports, being outdoors, fishing, golfing, traveling, and taking spontaneous trips. He found joy in cheering from the sidelines at Dayton’s games and spending time with family at cookouts. Bryce’s loyal nature, quick wit, and infectious smile could light up any room, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home, 4291 Cascade Rd. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546. A memorial service celebrating Bryce’s life will begin at 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dayton Sund Education Fund at Lake Michigan Credit Union, created in Bryce’s honor, to support Dayton’s future educational opportunities. Contributions may also be sent directly to Susan Siler or through Venmo (@Jenny-Pilger) to be added to the fund.
