Bryon Kirt Harris

Bryon Kirt Harris, age 60, of Grand Rapids, Michigan passed away bravely and peacefully on Friday May 8, 2020 at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus due to a catastrophic accident. Bryon Harris was born in South Bend, Indiana on October 31, 1959 the son of Harold and Vicki (Fisher) Harris. He graduated from Coloma High School class of 1979. He entered Grand Rapids Baptist College where he graduated with a BA in Speech Communications in 1986. Bryon served as a faithful, loyal employee at the Meijer Corporate Offices for over 33 years. On October 27, 1990, Bryon was united in marriage to Deeon Elizabeth Prather who survives. Also surviving are his parents, Harold and Vicki (Fisher) Harris of Grand Rapids; father-in-law, Emmett G Prather of Bloomington, Illinois; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Troy and Dee Prather of Normal, Illinois; and a much loved niece and great niece Stormie (Prather) and Hadley Davis of Bloomington, Illinois. His maternal grandmother Lois Ludlam of Coloma, Michigan preceded him in death. Bryon loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was a great encourager of others. He adored his wife Deeon; their relationship was an example and light to many. Bryon was loving, caring, kind, and had an infectious laugh with a wonderful sense of humor. He was a good friend and loved by so many. His sudden loss is devastating, yet “precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His saints” and one day we will be reunited in heaven. Bryon will be greatly missed every day.
