It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and friend, Daniel Duane Van Antwerp, at the age of 75, on February 15, 2025, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Dan was born on March 6, 1949 in Jackson, Michigan, to Elwin Van Antwerp and Lois Rawson Van Antwerp. He lived a life full of love, laughter, and hard work, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, wisdom, and strength.
He worked in the HVAC profession for many years, where he was known for his dedication and the care he brought to his work. Outside of his career, Dan was passionate about kayaking and being a sports fan. Above all, he cherished the time spent with his family and friends.
Dan is survived by his children Patrick and Christopher, grandchildren Nolan, Shea, Skyler, and Ashlee. Also, his brothers Marc Van Antwerp and Steve Van Antwerp. A private celebration of his life will be held later this year in the spring/summer.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, a cause close to his heart.
Dan will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
