Dana E. Andrews

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Dana Elizabeth Andrews, born on October 27, 1983 in Grand Rapids, Michigan to Linda Figley and Frank Andrews. She departed from us on August 2, 2025. Dana, a woman of incredible strength and resilience, lit up the lives of everyone she knew with her infectious smile and vibrant personality. She attended Belding High School and went on to become a CNA working in healthcare. Sadly, Dana suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2021. Unable to work, she focused on her children and her recovery. Dana loved nothing more than being around her family. 

Dana's absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but her spirit will continue to live on through those who cherished her. She is preceded in death by her father, Frank Andrews along with her grandparents, Elza and Arvid Laukvirs and Guendolee and Lewis Andrews. She is survived by her significant other, Brent Bailey, her children, Jorian Ormsbee and Sebastian Bailey, her mother, Linda Figley, her siblings, Stacy Andrews, Frank (Shelly) Andrews, Jeannine Andrews (Roger Knowles), Haley Andrews (Eric Swanson), Katelyn Figley (Kenneth Noisewater) along with many nieces and nephews, Keyson Pursell, Brennan Pursell, Jaidyn Pursell, Mercedes Pursell, Reegahn Pursell, Anna Brom, Gretchen Andrews, Parker Andrews, Talen Shattuck, Zayne Shattuck, Devin Swanger, Paige Swanger, Xavier Swanger, Isabel Withey, Baylor Swanson, Brailey Withey, Tristan Withey, Brielle Figley and Alayna Figley. 

Each moment spent with Dana was a blessing and she will be remembered fondly and missed deeply.

A celebration of life for her will be held from 3-7pm on Saturday August 16th at the American Legion Boat and Canoe Club, 401 N Park St NE, Grand Rapids MI 49525.  In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations towards charities  instead, such as, St. Jude's Children's Hospital and the Alano Club.
