Donna Joan Havenga

Donna Havenga, age 89, of Grand Rapids and a long time former resident of Ada, passed away June 4, 2020 and entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior. She was born on September 8, 1930, the daughter of Peter & Cornelia DeJager. She was the loving wife of Bill Havenga for 62 years until his death in 2014 and a faithful member of Ada Christian Reformed Church her whole life. Donna loved to read and was a whiz at crossword puzzles and Scrabble.  Surviving are her three children, Jim & Kay Havenga of Holland, Cathleen Eaton of Traverse City, Carol & Roy Smith of Belding; 8 grandchildren, Katie (Eric) Schauberger, John (Lori) Havenga, Laura Havenga, Anne Havenga, Jake (Kayla) Eaton, Amy (Blake) Keen, Carrie Smith and Christy Smith; 12 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Lillian Havenga; one nephew and 3 nieces. Due to present circumstances, there will be a graveside service at Findlay Cemetery in Ada township Wednesday, June 10 at 11am .  A visitation will take place at the cemetery starting 1 hour  before the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ada Christian Reformed Church, Holland Home or St. Mary’s Hospital.
