Dorothy Jane Vanden Bosch, age 97, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 1, 2020 and was laid to rest on April 7, 2020. Dorothy was born on March 2, 1923. She was preceded in death by her husband, George H. Vanden Bosch and daughter, Linda J. Fotieo.
She will be dearly missed by her surviving children, Cheryl (Stuart) Cheney and Lori Vanden Bosch, and son-in-law Themis Fotieo. Dorothy was more than a mother – she was a best friend to her daughters. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren, Michael McConnell, Scott McConnell, Kimberly McConnell, Cristina (Chris) Leon, Marisa Fotieo and Steven Fotieo and 6 great grandchildren. She was adored by her grandchildren and an abiding source of wisdom, grace and unconditional love to all of them.
Dorothy loved the Lord. She also deeply loved her family and prayed for them daily. Her heart was for little children and her ministry was to serve others and pray for those in need.
