Edward Dale Rupinski

Edward "Dale" Rupinski, age 76, of Grand Rapids peacefully entered his heavenly home on Sunday July 30, 2023

Dale was born on February 6, 1947 to Ed and Helen Rupinski. He graduated from West Catholic High School, class of 1965. After high school he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Ferris State University. Over the years he worked in construction accounting, retiring at age 70 from VanEck Construction.

Dale loved sports, especially watching his sons compete, as well as supporting his local sports teams. He was very active throughout the years, playing softball, skiing, fishing, and always trying to perfect his golf swing. He was a member of St. Alphonsus Parish for more than 40 years.

He would have celebrated his 40th wedding anniversary on August 5th with his loving wife Marilyn who survives him. He is also survived by his sons, Tony Rupinski and Matt (Leigh) Rupinski, and his grandchildren Everett, Cason, and Rosie, his siblings Marcia Jorgensen, Susan Rybicki, and John (Denise) Rupinski, and many nieces and nephews, as well as his in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday August 10th, 2023 at 11:00am at St. Alphonsus Church (224 Carrier St NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505) There will be a visitation at the church one hour prior to the Mass. Rev. Christopher Epplett presiding.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to St. Alphonsus Food & Clothing Center.
