Eight great grandchildren, Warren, Sadie, Holley, Hudson, Mathew, Luke, Benjamin, Evangeline.  Eleanore was raised in Clarion, Iowa on the farm. She graduated from Clarion High School and went on to attend Iowa State Teachers College. Eleanore and her husband Bob moved to Grand Rapid, Michigan in 1962. Eleanore taught English at the International Language Center in Grand Rapids. Eleanore also sold real estate with Pierce & Cook Real Estate Company and volunteered at Blodgett Hospital.

Now that I have come to the end of my journey, and have traveled my last earthly mile, please remember me by my smile. I would not have you sad for a day, but in the summer just gather some flowers and remember the place where I lay. Come in the evening when the sun paints the sky in the west and stand a few moments beside me, and only remember my best.
