Gale J. Lytle

Galor “Gale” Lytle passed away on Thursday August 17, 2023 at the age of 81.  He was born in St. Charles, Michigan on April 26, 1942 to the late Jesse and Dorothy Lytle. Gale will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years Patricia (Pat), daughters Lori(Ken) Peek, Meghan (Justin) Brickey, son Matthew Lytle (Amanda DeBruyne), grandchildren Veronica (Mark), Jessica, Morgan, Emerson, Gracie, great granddaughter Gabby, his brother Al (Marva) Lytle, and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his brother, Dennis Lytle.  

Gale was an engineer with Post Cereals for 30 years and also owned his own business as a contractor designing machine controls. He loved going for long drives and seeing where he’d end up, watching the planes at the airport, and appreciated sharing a meal with family at a good restaurant. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing cards and always had a good joke or witty remark. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed.  

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Friday August 25th at 4pm at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home with visitation one hour before the service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
