Gene J. Gilmore

We could fill a page with the professional and community contributions of Gene Gilmore. He was a remarkable representative for Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company for 69 years. What fulfilled him was the ability to help families grow through the hard times with the tools of his trade. The Northwestern was his life.

Gene was a business man, a farmer, a horseman, a motorcycle enthusiast, and the best friend one could hope to have. He had the ability to genuinely connect with people from all walks of life – a true gentleman. His larger-than-life presence and his adventurous spirit will be remembered and spoken of among those who knew him for years to come.

Gene’s memory will always be in the hearts of his sons Cody Gilmore and Brian Gilmore, and his step-daughter Heidi Sandreuter. The legacy of Holiday Farm will live on under the loving stewardship of his wife Tubie, and his children Killeen and Seamus Dillon, Stephanie Rubie and Shannon Reincke.

A celebration of Gene’s life will be held on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Fountain Street Church, 24 Fountain St. N.E., Grand Rapids, Michigan.
