Gregory T. Grochoski

Gregory Thomas Grochoski, age 79 of Ada passed away peacefully on Thursday November 27, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Grochoski was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on July 6, 1946. Greg was the son of Chester and Mary (Skorupski) Grochoski.  He graduated from Forest Hills High School class of 1964. Greg served in the United Stated Army from 1968-1974. He attended Grand Valley State University and graduated with high honors with a BS in Chemistry and Economics in 1968. He was one of the first distinguished Alumnus.

Everyone in Greg’s life has felt the love and dedication he put into every facet of his life. He was a mentor to all, always striving to lift people towards greatness. His acumen with business is due to his brilliant mind. He enjoyed farming and drag racing. His devotion to family and friends will live on in the memories of all who knew him.

On November 24,1970 he was united in marriage to Pamela A. Trovato she survives.  Also surviving are two sons Justin and Sarah (Soderman) Grochoski of Ada, MI: Ahren and Rebecca (Kleinedler) Grochoski of Ada, MI: six grandchildren Nataleigh, Bergen, Samantha, Rachel, Alexander and Connor; two great grandchildren Addison and Skylar; one brother Chester Jr and Sue Grochoski of Grand Haven, Michigan, several nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his brother Steven Grochoski and his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday December 4, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Robert of Newminster Catholic Church, 6477 Ada Drive SE, Ada, Michigan 49301. Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home from 4-7pm with a rosary beginning at 6:30pm.
