Harold L Brander Jr.

Harold L. Brander Jr., age 86, a longtime Ada resident, died June 24, 2022.  He was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Nellie Brander.  Harold is survived by his children,  Denise (Steve) Flynn and Chip (Perianne) Brander, grandchildren, Weston (Ellie), Colin (Kimmie) and Hunter (Maddie) and great granddaughter Ada.  Also survived by his long time companion Noreen Betteridge and her children, Mark, Susan and Julie. 

Harold was the owner of Brander Insurance Agency.  He was an avid outdoor enthusiast and loved hunting, fishing and gardening.  He especially enjoyed time at his cottage in Bitely, MI and traveling.  Harold was a treasured friend to many, always with a story, a smile and will be greatly missed.

Funeral Services honoring Harold's life will be held Thursday, June 30th 11am at Central Reformed Church 10 College Ave NE Grand Rapids, MI 49503.  The Brander family will receive guests on Wednesday from 5 to 7pm at Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Service.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Ada Christian School Education Foundation 6206 Ada Dr. SE Ada, MI 49301 or Wildlife Rehab Center 1504 Union Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49505.
