On December 16, 2020 Jackie Bylenga (89) departed this earth for her permanent home in heaven. She was born July 16, 1931 to Wilbur and Gertrude Gingrich, deceased. She was the loving wife to her husband of 70 years, William, who survives; also surviving are her children Tom (Kay), David (Cheryl), and Jill (Tom) Birtles; grandchildren Kristen Siebert, Ryan Birtles, Nicole Goodale, Ashleigh Bylenga-Rugg, Emily Birtles, and Trisha Bylenga; and step-grandchildren Troy Crum and Jodi Beebe. Also surviving Jackie are 16 great grandchildren. Brother Robert Gingrich and son Mark Bylenga preceded her in death.
Jackie will be remembered as a classy lady with tremendous energy, an eye for style and décor, and a home as clean as a whistle. Jackie was not afraid to speak her mind, so one generally knew where she stood. She always said she had eyes in the back of her head and her children believed it. She was a dedicated mother who instilled a strong work ethic, celebrated joys and accomplishments, and allowed her kids to learn from their mistakes.
She loved Christmas, so it’s especially hurtful to lose her this time of year. A private ceremony will be held at a later date for family. Memorial contributions can be made to Faith Hospice or a charity of your choice.
