James Fleischer

James Fleischer passed away on Friday November 3, 2023 at the age of 84.  He was born on April 11, 1939 in Muskegon to the late Stanley and Verna Fleischer.  Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife of over 59 years Jan Fleischer, son Mark (Allen) Fleischer, daughter Kris (Mike) Marshall and grandsons Colin Fleischer and Zach Marshall.  Jim was preceded in death by his sister Mary Lou Hunt and his beloved grandson Keenan Marshall. 

Jim worked in various roles in the radio business for 45 years.  He loved woodworking, listening to big band music and spending time with his family and friends.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be greatly missed. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11am on Friday November 10, 2023 at St. Robert of Newminster Catholic Church, 6477 Ada Dr. SE, Ada, MI 49301 with a luncheon to follow.  Visitation will be on Thursday, November 9th, at the Metcalf and Jonkhoff Funeral Home from 4-7pm and one hour prior to mass at the church on Friday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Michigan State University, with your gift designated to the Keenan Joseph Marshall Endowed Research Fund (AR000135).  Checks made payable to Michigan State University, or Gift Online at givingto.msu.edu.
