James "Jim" Mooney

James ‘Jim’ Mooney age 55 of Ada, MI passed away surrounded by family on May 11, 2019 after a years long and courageous battle with lung disease.  Jim was preceded in death by his father James Mooney.  He is survived by his loving wife Lindsey (Gersch), two children, James 'Jimmy' and Connor, mother Lorraine Melsom, sister Karen Bath, nieces, Lauren, Erika and Madison Bath and many adoring extended family.  

In 2002 Jim founded and for 17 years served as CEO of RO Innovation, the world's leading SaaS Customer Reference Management platform- which he sold in 2018. His dedication to his business and his team was surpassed only by his love and devotion to his family. Becoming 'daddy' to Jimmy and Connor later in life was undoubtedly his greatest joy, and he made fatherhood and providing unique and memorable experiences for his boys, wife Lindsey and extended family his top priority.  Jim was an incredibly generous, thoughtful, vibrant and loving person and pillar of his family and business community.  His passing leaves an immeasurable void in our lives as well as a wonderful legacy, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of calling him a friend. 

Funeral Services will be held 11am on Saturday May 18th at St. Matthew Lutheran Church 5125 Cascade Rd SE Grand Rapids, MI 49546.  The family will greet friends on Friday from 4 to 7pm at the Metcalf & Jonkhoff Funeral Home 4291 Cascade Rd SE Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
