Iva Jean Wilson was born February 23, 1925, to John and Helen Lamparter of Circleville Ohio. Jean graduated 1943 from Arsenal Tech High School in Indianapolis, and later graduated 1947 from Earlham College. She married Lowell Wilson in 1947, and they became co-owners of Lemon’s flower shop. Jean was involved in numerous organizations within Richmond. She served Richmond Day Nursery for many years, as President and various positions on the board of directors. She was a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church and Forest Hills Country Club.
Jean and Lowell were married for 66 years before his passing in 2013. She is survived by two children Carol Wilson Moore, widow of her husband Michael Moore, of Grand Rapids Michigan, and Scott Wilson and his wife June Wilson of Boxford, Massachusetts. Jean has three grandchildren Erin Moore Turner of Potomac, Maryland, Robert Wilson of Arvada, Colorado, and Alison Wilson Dammers of Malden, Massachusetts. She has one great grandchild Wilson Michael Turner of Potomac. Jean’s sister Mary Alice Ressinger and husband Ferrill Ressinger are both deceased. They were survived by her nieces Dianne Bondus of Carmel, Indiana and Cathy Ressinger of Fishers, Indiana.
Memorials can be given to Richmond Day Nursery or Corewell Health Hospice. Memorial service will be private prior to interment at Earlham Cemetery.
