Jeanne Barbara Stelma

Jeanne Barbara Stelma, age 100, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, December 20, 2019 with her family present.  Jeanne was born in Grand Rapids on September 22, 1919, the daughter of Stanley and Mildred Strong. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Gerard N. Stelma. Jeanne was highly spiritual. She studied various religions looking for the similarities. She believed that living a good life came down to following the Golden Rule.  She is survived by her son, Gerard N. Stelma Jr. (Molly), daughters, Barbara Courtright, Mary Stelma and Carol Stelma. Grandchildren, Marc Courtright, Jessica Courtright (Rick Johnson), Bruce Stelma, Scott Stelma (Jenny) and Chris Stelma (Miranda Combs) and great-grandson, Braxton Stelma.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2020 at the Unity Center for Spiritual Growth, 6025 Ada Dr. SE, Ada where the family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.
