Jim Offenhauer, 78, passed away at his residence in Holland, MI on February 27, 2025. Born on July 11, 1946, Jim graduated from Sexton High School in Lansing, MI and attended the University of Michigan where he graduated in 1967 with a degree in Architecture. Jim worked for Harris Bank as an Architect for most of his career, primarily in the Chicago area. He travelled the country for Harris, creating plans for their new buildings as they expanded their reach to new cities. Upon retirement, Jim moved to Michigan where he eventually settled in Holland.
Jim is predeceased by his parents Norval and Winifred Offenhauer and his sister Jane Nichols. He is survived by his brother-in-law Jack Nichols and his Nephews Mike (Kevin and Megan) and Steve and wife Missy (Charlie, McKenzie, and Sam), and his Niece Katie and husband Ed (Sophie and Abby).
A private family burial will be held at Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends to gather will occur at the Metcalf and Jonkhoff Funeral Home in Grand Rapids on Friday, June 27th from 12:00pm - 2:00pm.
